Hello, my name is Natalie Tyler. I am a hand embroidery artist. I originally trained as a print textile designer at CSM receiving an Ba in Textiles Design and Ma in Design for Textile Futures. I then went on to design prints commercially for the fashion sector mainly womenswear but was also  a visiting lecturer to Fashion, Textiles and Jewellery courses.  After having children, I decided to change practices and have not looked back. My love of embroidery has helped me to explore and experiment with pattern, imagery and texture. Hand embroidery engages the mind, hand and thoughts of the maker with the thread and needle documenting imagery and life to the pieces produced. My work focuses on pattern, colour and print.
